Unemployment claims increased today 17000 over last weeks numbers to reach 372000. How is your job? Do you have one? Have you been laid off? Do you fear being laid off? If you are self employed or own your own business, how are things? Are your margins smaller because of expenses and have you increased prices?

Tell me about your recession

I have created this blog to provide a place to share what each of us is experiencing in our economy in our day to day life. Our news is filtered-and when it comes to our economy it is typically biased towards good news. As a mortgage broker that has been selling loans in 15 states for over 5 years, I hear both good and bad. A lot of what I see and hear is shocking and newsworthy, but you won't read about it in the paper or hear about on TV. Here is a place. Post it, show it, talk about it. Tell us what you see in your neighborhood, what is happening in your life, what you are doing because of it.

One final thought...Don't forget to talk about what IS good. Knowing things will eventually get better is what will bring us up.
